Our origin goes back over 90 years with Sherbrook Motors, which started as a towing company but diversified into a trucking service that specialized in low beds.

Started with a Single Boom Truck

Ken’s Crane Service was founded in 1994 by Ken Smith. At the time, Ken was focused on his welding operation and purchased a boom truck to assist in that endeavor. Ken moved his company the following year and took over the Sherbrook Motors location on Wall Street, which is still our current home.

We’ve Expanded to Better Serve You

Since our takeover of Sherbrook Motors, we have grown considerably and gained valuable industry experience. Ken’s Crane Service has expanded both our team and our equipment to better serve your needs. We are pleased to work with major construction companies, general contractors and anyone who needs safety-focused equipment moving, lifting and hauling service in Manitoba.
